The problem
ROAS has a blind spot, and it’s expensive
Every store has products that look excellent in a revenue report and quietly lose money once costs are counted. When Google only sees revenue, its bidding goes and finds more of them.

Revenue is the number your bidding can see. Profit is the number your business runs on. Profitscaler makes them the same number — cost of goods, VAT, shipping, fees and kickbacks, counted on every order line.

what makes it different
Profit, worked out properly
Not revenue minus a percentage. The real number, per line item.
True profit, not a proxy
COGS, VAT, per-carrier shipping, payment fees and supplier kickbacks — on every order line.
Server-side from day one
Ad blockers and tracking prevention do not quietly delete your conversions.
Margin per SKU, not just per order
The order report and the SKU report reconcile exactly, down to the last cent.
One problem, done completely
Not a suite, and not trying to become one. It tells you what your orders are worth, and acts on it.

The instruments
Two ways to act on the number
Which one fits depends on how you run your discounts. We tell you which one you are.

Either way, the data flows
The same profit lands in GA4 and your reporting tool, down to margin per SKU.

Segment the Shopping feed
Projected margin per product, written into Merchant Center. Campaigns stop pushing what loses money.

Send profit as the conversion value
Profit goes to Google Ads and the bidding optimises on it directly. Powerful, unless your promo cadence moves the number.

Security
Your margins stay yours
Margin data is the most sensitive number a store has. We treat it that way.

What is Profitscaler?
Profitscaler works out what each order was actually worth, after cost of goods, VAT, shipping, payment fees and handling, and puts that number where your bidding can act on it.
Your server-side container asks us what an order was worth at the moment it happens, and we answer in the few hundred milliseconds it is willing to wait. The number goes to Google Ads and GA4 as a value on the event, and to your own reporting as a CSV export.
Who is it for?
Stores that already run server-side tracking and have a product feed, and that are big enough for the difference between revenue and profit to be worth money. In practice that starts somewhere around 400–500 orders a month.
If you have neither a server-side container nor any idea of your margins, this is a project before it is a product. That is a real answer rather than a no. Nordscale or your own agency can do that work, and it is worth doing regardless of what you buy afterwards.
Do I have to bid on profit to use this?
No, and we would rather you decided that after seeing your own numbers.
Measuring honestly and choosing what to bid on are two separate decisions. Sending profit straight in as conversion value is right for some stores and wrong for others. A product sitting at −30% has a very different profit today than it did yesterday, and a store with a heavy promo cadence can end up feeding its bidding an unstable number. That is what the projected-margin feed exists for. Which one fits depends on how often you discount, and the honest answer is sometimes the less impressive-sounding one.
Does this replace my analytics or reporting?
No. Profitscaler is a data layer, not a reporting product. Profit goes into the tools you already use: Google Ads, GA4, Merchant Center and your own BI tool. It lives there.
There is an app, and you will log into it to configure your cost data, check that numbers are flowing and read your order balance. It is a control panel rather than somewhere you go to read reports.
Do I have to change my website or checkout?
No. Everything happens server-side, after the purchase event has already left the browser. There is no script to add to your storefront, no checkout change, and nothing that can slow a page down or break at a theme update.
Who is behind Profitscaler?
Nordscale, a Swedish performance marketing agency. We built it because our own clients needed profit data and nothing at a sensible price existed.
